One has 120 students and the other has 300 (with another TA).
So, the first work is to make copies of the syllabus.
5 sheets each... and some more for backup ... so totally, (125+310)*5 sheets! Oh Jesus! Cost me from 10-14 to have this done, with a paper jam once.
OK, that's alright. New life begins!
P.S. My office is already set up and only need a computer next week. Will have some pictures in the future. C U guys and miss you all.

飞机上的空“嫂”都很Nice,有黑大妈，白大妈，还有台湾和香港的大妈，呵呵。吃的东西也还不错，虽然只是一般的水平呵呵。但是服务都非常的不错，呵呵。第一次在飞机上去WC呵呵

用有限的电话卡给妈妈打了个电话，老爸开始居然不接，因为只能打一个电话所以没有给宝宝打哦～抱抱。用quarters给接机的老生打了电话。
再过安检，到达了候机厅。花$27.45买了十瓶矿泉水。花$10买了两个McD的三明治。味道还可以啦，还是能吃的哈哈，而且...不算很便宜啦，也不算贵哈呵呵。

我坐在副驾驶，好友某同学坐在驾驶位！
追尾了！
前方一片宽敞，红灯亮起，后座的萌萌同学轻声提醒：减速，减速！
偶也提醒：减速，减速！
可某同学，非但不减还加起了速！惊起我一身热血！
急忙想着对策，拉手刹？（效果不好，伤车）换空档？（伤车）。。。伸脚替其踩刹？（伸脚中。。。）
只见某同学，抬脚于油门，巨石落下，心说啊门，刹车吧。哪知其复又加速！
心中绝望，前方停一车。萌萌同学大叫：减速！某同学木然中！忙伸脚替其踩刹车。晚矣。
吱……………吱…………… BANG!!!!!
撞上了。
无二话，保险公司。修理厂。并未出钱。然耽误了一下午时间，打乱了所有计划。周一方可拿车，萌萌同学的电脑还在车上。Sigh......
一切，尽出在一念之差。

具体工作是 1) Triggering of barred galaxy satellites and substructure.
Barred galaxies are ubiquitous in Nature and in simulations. They may form either by (1) saturation of strong spirals other internal instabilities; or (2) by external triggering.
The conditions for external triggering are weakly explored; the main references are from 20 years ago and, even then, anecdotal. I propose a controlled exploration of galaxy and perturber parameter space by simulation of stars and dark matter. I/we have the simulations codes in hand and the computation resources to do this in house. The student collaborator would run and analyze simulations with my help.
2) Analysis of merging morphology in 2MASS and SDSS images. As a by-product of our ongoing galaxy properties survey led by Post-doc Dan McIntosh, we have identified "wakes" in galaxies that are consistent with dark matter disturbances triggered by merging; so called "dynamical friction" wakes. These wakes are very asymmetric and have a "yin-yang" appearance. We know the luminosity and distance to these galaxies and therefore have baryon mass estimates. I propose that we investigate what might be learned about the dark-matter fraction in these galaxies by comparing the morphology of and strength these wakes with predictions from dynamical models.

今天需要复印个东西，就搬出来试试。
效果还不错，虽然扫描慢了点，呵呵。设置在600dpi的文档再用HP Laser Jet 1020 plus打印出来，比复印的效果好多了。

然后是临时座驾，黑色的是Toyota的Crown，前两天开着带爸妈回老家来着。 白色的是Buick的Sail，那一趟两次往返武汉开的。
之后，是我穿西装和皮鞋的照片～呵呵，大汗～第一次穿得这么正式。
再之后是N72手机，HOHO希望能如7200陪我度过了大学后三年一样陪伴我度过PhD生涯。
然后，是98年加入为家庭成员的土乌龟。^_^
